The Goal

The Prospect Tree came to us with the request to upgrade their website. The client felt as though it lacked sophistication and wanted to appeal to higher-end businesses as she wasn’t able to with her old site. The old site also had some out-of-date content that needed to be removed and updated.

The Process

There were many elements included in the process, including the full redesign and rebuild of the site, an SEO transfer to ensure all the content from the old site was carried over, and the launch of the new site.

The client was happy throughout the entire process, and we ensured we kept them updated every step of the way.

What Did We Do?

Before getting started on the redesign of the site, we had an initial meeting with the client to understand their requirements. From this, we were able to create a plan of action and get started on the redesign.

We removed any content that was outdated and replaced it with fresh, relevant content written to reflect the company’s goals and values. In this case, the client provides content and we advised on any areas that needed refinement in terms of SEO optimisation and customer journey.

In terms of design, when considering a fresh look we took into account the company logo and branding colours, maintaining their company look but bringing a new modern feel to the website. We initially presented several design options and discussed the client’s feedback, making adjustments until she was entirely happy with the finished result.

Digital Marketing

We worked on both an SEO transfer and ongoing SEO for The Prospect Tree.

During the rebuild of the site, we had to keep the SEO of the site in mind to ensure that all vital elements and content were carried over so that their rankings were maintained. This is crucial when launching a website with updated content and structural changes as Google will take into consideration any changes that occur, which could result in a ranking drop if important keywords are removed.

During this process, we made sure to check elements including meta titles, meta descriptions, H1 tags, and any code such as alt tags which all influence rankings. We carefully monitored Google indexing on launch day and kept close track on progress in the search engines over the following weeks.

Subsequently, we worked with the client to establish a monthly SEO plan going forward designed to increase rankings and traffic to the website, with the goal of ultimately bringing in increased enquiries and sales.

Launch Day

Our structured approach to website launches and updates means that much of the work is down and checked in advance, and the day itself went smoothly with the new website live at 10am. We then went through a series of structured checks and testing, as a final step before confirming launch complete.
