A beautiful, Good old English Pub, situated on the outskirts of Exmoor.
What were they looking for?
The client was looking for a brand new website after their old website was removed from its old server. They came to Daneswood looking for a modern design and a website that would be easy for them to update and to show off their campsite and on-location cottages.
They also wanted new copy to be written for the site as well, as their original content had been unfortunately lost.
What did we decide to do that would be best for them? Did we suggest anything?
We suggested that new site in WordPress would be a great solution to their problem. We suggested WordPress as it would be able to provide them with a solid foundation for build and a platform to grow from. As if they ever wanted to add a booking system for the restaurant or a events section to the site, with a simple plugin added to the site, those requirements could be met.
We also suggested a new design, taking the rebuild as an opportunity for them to refresh the site and the customer journey.
We worked with the client to wireframe the structure of the site and the customer journey. We started basic, using placeholder images and lorem ipusm to mark out where content and services would go and where customers would find the information they need. From there, we brought in the customers logos and branding to the wireframe – creating the website design.
The build process went well and with no issues. The written content for the site was created by our team and added to the site alongside images from the client.
When it came to launch, the process was smooth – with no problems. The site officially went live on the 25th of January 2021.
