If you are a Devon based business wanting to be found by Devon based customers, then you must have a Google+ Business page set up. By having a Google+ Business page you will ensure your business shows up in Google’s local search results and have the opportunity to show off your excellent products and/or services via the Google+ review system.
Step 1 – Create a Google plus account
To create a Google+ Business page you must first have a personal Google+ account set up. If you do not have one of these you can set one up here.
Once you have a profile simply click on the left hand side menu select “Pages”.
Step 2 – Create a business page
Once on “Pages” select the blue button labeled “Get Your Page” located in the upper right hand side.
Google will then present you with a form to fill out your company’s name, address and phone number. They need this to verify your business, so ensure all details are correct and match the same details as your website.
Step 3 – Bring your business page to life
Now you have a business page it is time to stylise it with your businesses logo and photos. When people search for your exact business name in your area there is now a high chance your company will appear in the top right hand side accompanied by your business contact information and customer reviews.
First impressions are key, so spend some considerable time choosing what images you want to use to represent your business and make sure you have all of your happiest customers leave a Google+ review.
