The Real Shaving Company had an online presence when they came to us, but it was just an information site, and not an ecommerce offering. Although their products were available in offline popular retail outlets like Boots and Sainsbury’s, they were missing out on direct sales to the consumer.
We were tasked with designing a small WordPress and WooCommerce online shop that played strongly on their well thought through digital marketing message for their brand. They didn’t just want the shop to show product, but also to reinforce their ‘3 steps to a good shave’ ethos. We responded by presenting their shaving products in the shop under their relevant category: Step 1 ‘Cleanse’; Step 2 ‘Shave’; Step 3 ‘Maintain’.
Coupled with a great Instagram dynamic feed into the site, and regular featured blogs appearing, their male audience has all they need to understand the product, how to use it best and start shaving properly.
We also created a US version of the site for their international audience, as sales showed that this very British product had overseas appeal. Our client changed the wording on the site to match their US customers where necessary, thus ensuring that it performs to its best across the pond. Our client also has a strong content strategy for blogging and social media, as well as updating the text on the site and running regular promotions.
