Stickwick Manor & Cottages
A lovely example of a self-catering and holiday let website that conveys the history of the Georgian property, with a gallery that really sells the rooms, outdoor space and surrounding area.
Stickwick have been a client of Daneswood for many years and in 2017 they came back to us to overhaul both their branding and web design. We created a new logo and as their Manor House was a Georgian home, dating back to 1779, the apple green colour palette we choose for the branding was typical of that era.
Their website was already built in WordPress, so we re-skinned (which is a technical term for a design facelift) the website. This included improving the menu layout, wider banners, new logo, fonts and a really brilliant gallery. Once the branding exercise was complete, our graphic designer created new site plans for the 3 holiday lets that appear on the home pages. Stickwick provided superb images of their accommodation and surrounding area which really helped lift the design. When it comes to booking a week away in Devon their audience very much buy with their eyes.
We also embedded an availability calendar and linked to their 3rd party booking site within the accommodation pages. Our client thought a lot about the marketing on the site and they knew the ‘history’ of their Georgian home attracted customers and so they conveyed this both through imagery and text, which they can now maintain easily via the back-office content management system.
We also performed search engine optimization on the site to carry over their existing Google authority and make their site as Google friendly as we could.
