Designing for change with our long term client
Simpkins Edwards are a very long term client of Daneswood and we have overhauled their site many times as their business changed and grew, including providing ongoing digital marketing support. In 2017 they asked for a site redesign and we changed their platform over from the Joomla platform to WordPress. The tax and accountancy business is moving more digital and with online accountancy services growing fast the site design needed to be more competitive.
They had already undergone a new branding exercise, so they brought a good logo, font and colour palette to us. They listened to our request for new images and worked with our local photographer to commission some great bespoke photographs. They also worked with our copywriter on new text for the site pages.
It was important to Simpkins that their new site had a ‘unique personality’ and a visually memorable new design. We designed the service pages, so the accountants profiles appeared with the relevant service so users could see who they needed to contact and what their background specialism was. This is a very content rich site, but the layout is still clean and easy to navigate. There are also private client areas hidden behind login screens which allows their clients to pay bills online and access client documents from their private portal.
Although Simpkins have an in-house marketing manager, we continue to manage all their ongoing SEO on the site, working closely with them to ensure it moves towards the keywords, phrases and locations that they wish to be found on Google for.
Digital Marketing Support
Simpkins have a great in-house Marketing Manager, whom we support only in certain areas of the more technical side of Digital Marketing. We handle the SEO on the website, having recently performed migration SEO, keyword review, snippet optimisation, website crawl and URL checks when the new site was launched. We continue to complete monthly SEO on the site for specific key phrases on their services. We also support their Google Adwords campaigns and have recently taken on social media advertising with them.
