High speed mobile responsive shop with world-wide customer base

With a masculine high-octane design, this online shop appeals to its global buying audience of Formula 1 addicts. Detailed product pages are accompanied by videos and behind the scenes information. Our home page banner design allows the Memento admin team to change the product imagery and text featured on the banner, so they have full control of keeping the site fresh and up-to-date.

Challenge

Memento Exclusives (ME) have been a client of Daneswood from when they first came to us over 5 years ago, and we have grown and redeveloped their website as they became more successful. In 2012 they created a B2B sub-brand for their bespoke corporate gifts, which we then included on the site. In 2015 we then upgraded them again and included a new mobile friendly design when they won the contract to handle the official online shop for Planet F1 (see http://shop.planetf1.com). Planet F1 were so impressed by the success of Memento Exclusives, that when we built their shop, we followed the same existing ME layout, but with Planet F1 branding.

Solution

In 2015 they were ready for expansion and after looking at their new multi-store business model, we advised them on the best digital solution. Using ‘CS-Cart’ as their ecommerce platform allowed them to have a single back-office administration to the site that enabled them to potentially manage multiply front-end sites (both ME and Planet F1). This permitted them to expand their product range and operate online shops for other clients using a single administration interface.

The website now has all the bells and whistles their audience expects, with quick view, ability to leave a review, videos about the products, options on products such as size and colour, social sharing, wish lists and large zoomable images.

Memento ship products around the world (over 50% of orders come from abroad as Formula 1 has a world-wide following) so a customised shipping functionality was developed which provided shipping to selected countries for specific products. Another benefit to their customer is the filtered of products at menu level to search by ‘artist’, ‘sport’, ‘traditional’ etc.
