Branding, shop build and dedicated SEO campaign
Buy Me Beauty approached us for an ecommerce website to sell their product range of major skincare brands such as Environ, Elizabeth Arden Pro, Priori and Jane Iredale.
The challenge was to build a site to generate high volume sales and create a new brand that would effectively compete in a highly competitive online skincare market.
Working closely with the client our web design team created the ‘Buy Me Beauty’ brand name and logo that would appeal to their female target audience.
We took the new brand development and worked it into an ecommerce website design using a CS-Cart ecommerce platform. Using this application allowed simple navigation for the customer and an easy product upload and reporting facility for the client. The benefits of a simple and easy navigational website for the client were: less administration time, easily found products, quick check out of items, return visits to the site. Full security provision was included with a secure socket layer (SSL) accreditation which allows a padlock at the check-out so all transactions and data are locked and safe. Staff training was provided on the content management function of this site, which then allowed the client to completely manage the ‘product refreshment/shop side’ of the site once it went live.
Online Marketing & Search Engine Optimisation (SEO)
Marketing advice and consultancy was an essential element of the project and we had regular meetings to brainstorm ideas on how to continue to drive more users to the website and increase sales. This included looking at optimisation for search engines within the site, and getting the best out of key phrases. Daneswood undertook optimisation on a range of pages and products on the site along with a structured link building programme. The campaign was very bespoke due to the high-end nature of the cosmetics being sold, that each had very strict brand guidelines on how their product were allowed to be presented digitally.
A return on investment for the client as the site has seen steadily increased turnover since its launch. Buy Me Beauty has been a long term client of Daneswood and we have overhauled their site as their business has changed over the years, and new brands brought on board. Customers continue to return to the site and a larger awareness of the company and its products has been achieved – making a real contribution to their bottom line.
